What drew you to design systems?

Having worked in and with several different software development teams before, I've learned it takes more than a process to deliver fast, reliable, high performant, quality products.

Combining design and engineering on a stable system, while creating the most astonishing, accessible experience for our end users and developers is pure joy.

Who have you learned from or been inspired by?

I was fortunate to have had great mentors and colleagues who supported me througout my career and taught me the nitty gritty of programming. I'm a big fan of Katrina Owen, co-founder and director of Exercism. I adore the work of management leaders like Camille Fournier, and I devour books where I can learn about people like Erin Meyer's The Culture Map.
