What drew you to design systems?

I came to design systems with a background in software testing and quality assurance. They're a great way to drive quality across products: make good decisions once, then help every team apply them consistently. The same is true of accessibility. A strong design system lets accessible decisions travel further than any one designer or product team.

Who have you learned from or been inspired by?

Andy Bell, Brad Frost, Bruce Lawson, Christian Heilmann, Eric W. Bailey, Heydon Pickering, Jeffrey Zeldman, Jeremy Keith, Léonie Watson, Maggie Appleton, Marcy Sutton, Patrick H. Lauke and Rachel Andrew.
